Last week I took another class - the art of the compote design. These are my favorite types of centerpieces so I was excited to make one with this vibrant color palate of greens, berry pinks and oranges.

Indie Detroit Wedding Show

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who came out to the Indie Detroit Wedding Show yesterday at the Rust Belt Market. I am overwhelmed by the support shown to me by friends, vendors and new couples. 

Spring in the Midst of a Grey Winter

I've been feeling a little down with the never ending cold and constant snow here in Michigan. Arranging flowers was a much needed pick me up in the midst of this grey winter. 

How can you not be instantly cheered up by these flawless Juliet garden roses and the heavenly smell of the lavender freesia? You can't. It's impossible. Spring is coming friends - hang in there. 

Indie Detroit Wedding Show 3/8/14

I'm excited to announce that Ever Ours Events will be part of the Detroit Indie Wedding Show at the Rust Belt Market on March 8th! We'll have a booth some pretty flowers so make sure to stop by and say hi. We're still booking weddings for 2014. Hope to see you there!

Meghann & Chris

Meghann and Chris were married at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Not only are the two nicest people you will ever meet, but they had a seriously gorgeous wedding. The venue was beyond stunning and the weather could not have been better. 

Chris is from Michigan and Meghann is from Pittsburgh. The two met on a study abroad in England and moved to Chicago. Chris surprised Meghann by planning an over the top, best romance movie ever proposal in London. Needless to say, this couple has seen a lot of the world together already.  

They married in Annapolis, MD on the Chesapeake Bay. The theme - travel of course! We brought in some vintage touches - books, a Polaroid camera, an old suitcase, just to name a few items. Those special touches paired with the neutral bridesmaids dresses and pops of purple bouquets made for an unforgettable night. 

Thank you Meghann and Chris for allowing me to be part of your special day. It was one of my favorites so far and I will never forget my time on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.

Lindsay & Eric

I had the opportunity to create florals for Lindsay & Eric's wedding in beautiful Southwest Michigan. Willow Harbor Vineyards was such a gorgeous setting and the weather could not be more perfect. 

Lindsay was the first person I saw upon arriving at the venue. She greeted me with a big hug and was smiling ear to ear. A great way to start the day!

Meghann & Chris Teaser

Meghann & Chris were married this past Saturday at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. I cannot say enough good things about the night. Gorgeous venue. Breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay. A beautiful couple with an amazing group of friends and family gathered to celebrate their union. Not to mention, a fabulous husband/wife photography team who captured all the amazingness of the night!

I had the  pleasure of meeting Mindy & Ben Peterson from Studio 6.23. Not only are they super talented, they were so sweet and Mindy has the best sense of humor! Below is a little teaser of some of the details from the wedding that Mindy sent me. Can't wait to share more with you - stay tuned!

Sneak Peek: Fall Styled Shoot with Whitney Paige Photography

I had the pleasure of teaming up with Whitney Moore, owner of Whitney Paige Photography, the other day. We wanted to do a fall themed photo shoot, but with a not so typical fall spin.

I was inspired by figs. I love their unique color, especially when you cut them open. They have shades of deep burgundy, bright green and fade into a warm pink tone. I replicated that in my floral arrangement using my favorite - the cafe au lait dahlia and also some peonies and clematis to name a few. 

I had such a great time with Whitney the other day. She really has a unique perspective and her photos showcase her talent.
